cracked block when you only hit the oil pan?? sounds more like an oil flow or frozen coolant problem unless you ripped the bolts out in the accident

 

the crack line on the oil pan is the same on the block. and it was just force. believe me it was not easy. I landed hard enough to break the hose clamp off of the inter-cooler hose. obviously the little plastic piece didn't stick around long.

 

hmmm consider TIG weld many places do it

 

Thought about it. but would I or would I not have to strip it down to the bare block for that.

 

either way you will have to strip the engine down ( no short cuts here mate ) big job[:@]

 

compare prices on a repair to a replacement and if you go for a repair ensure they have the tools to pressure test the block and oil pan

 

Thats what I didn't want to hear. I think I already knew that, just needed a little conformation. Thanks for the info avant.

Neither are made for jumping that I do know. the jump in the S$ was more a combo of dirt roads, going way to fast awesome corners and a sudden large bump. The race car in my Avatar is a wingless sprintcar and it would be more costly and hurt a lot more to jump that thing. but good thoughts though.

 

Scrap the engine and get this one...
