the code is for the passenger side cat below threshold, last time i checked a day or so ago, i'll prob have it rescanned today....
the mtm kit incudes high flow cats (which were put on when the car was new, so its no surprise they are crapping out), downpipes, ss exhaust, chip.

Lots of times on these cars you will get a code for one thing, but it's actually another part causing the code. So I would not 100% bet that the cats are out.
If they are, you might be running way to rich, and that burned them out, do you see what I'm getting at?

That sucks(!) & may not permanently fix what caused the cat to fail in the first place.

got my new cats on today, the old ones were done for, the car defininately breathes better now on the tp end. no more cel, but still the boost problem remains. at first it will run right up to 10psi once, then you can hear air wooshing from the bottom of the engine compartment (once), then it will only boost to 6psi, and not throw any cel/mil
anybody?

You obiviously see how important owning or having access to a VAG-Com is to owning an S4. Without getting any codes, all I can offer is some what educated guesses....a.k.a. shots in the dark.
Did you do a pressure test on the car? That would be my next move.
After that try disconnecting the MAF and run it without it and see if that does anything.
