Default NGK BKR6EK Plugs?

I recently purchased an 01.5 S4 6 speed w/ 79,000 miles. Had some small oil leaks repaired, valve covers and cam tensioner spots. I Did the rear brake pads and mobil one oil change. But currently doing spark plugs since I had a radom misfire a couple of weeks ago. Since the car is not modded only drop in K&N, I bought the inexpensive BKR6E plugs.I just pulled out one of the old plugs and it was the BKR6EK w/ the double poles, looked a little white could be lean? I did a search but could not find any post. I guess no one is using these K plugs? Could this be my misfire problem?

light grey silver color means the car is running good. the misfire was probably due to the plugs just being old.

Misfire was before K&N install, I thought 2001.5-2002 was not that big of a problem w/ MAF failing as long as not over oiled? I was gonna do the Darintake mod, but too rainy in S. Florida, worried about sucking water, I guessI could close the hole in the summer rainy season.
By the way new plugs worked great no more stumble upon start up, and seems smoother. Boost gauge next, then chip, DV's and exhaust. TB and water pump done before purchased at 75,000 miles.
