If you don't have access to a 2-post lift and trans. jack, you're probably better off pulling the motor.

Some people have pulled the trans without a lift but it's probably a bigger PITA than just pulling the engine.

And if you haven't R&R'd the engine yet, it will probably take you all of 9 hours and then some.

Maybe someone else know of an easier way, I'm sure someone else will chime in soon.

okay.. yeah.. ill be doing it in the shop i work, i have all the equipment needed aside from the trans jack, but there are a number of other hands to help with that... while in there im gonna look at my turbos a bit closer.. there are blue stamps on the bottom of each of the turbos.. im assuming that k03's will have the number k03 somewhere in the id# and the same for k04's... is that right to assume? trying also to see how much more deep i want to go in building this car up..

That sounds good.
I've posted some pics of k03 and k04 tags so you can compare.
The k03 is a k03-16
and the k04 is a k04-26
