New S6 selling price

New S6 selling price
I'm thinking about buying an S6 from a dealer. I live in North Carolina. I haven't
bought a "limited edition" car before. Should I expect to pay MSRP or will I get some
room to negotiate the price down a bit? Does buying a car in stock or placing an
order make a difference?
I'm leaning towards one of the silver or gray paints so that they don't
show road dirt as much as the darker colors. Does anyone have opinions
on which color is best for for that?

RE: New S6 selling price
It's not really a "limited" car. It more there expensive & dealers will not stock a bunch of them.
Over here there is no second sticker, so I would expect to spend MSRP or under. The only way to know what you are going to get is to go down & talk to the Dealer.
You'll be fine with any silver, they all hide dirt well.

RE: New S6 selling price
I bought a new Q7 for wifey at the same time i bought my Silver S6. They refused to discount the S6 but gave me a bigger break on the Q7 to make up for it. While it is lame to pay full MSRP for the car it is so much fun to drive that you will forget all of the $$$ trauma right away.
BTW - if you order it and pick it up in Germany you not only get to drive it on the Autobahn...you also get 5% off of MSRP! IT might end up costing the same as the car here after hotels and fuel and airfare...but it will be an experience. If you order it....get every option other than the adaptive cruise control which I find useless (at least in South Florida).

RE: New S6 selling price
Just picked up my S6 last night. Silver w/Black interior, Carbon Fiber, Heated Rear Seats, Technology Package & Adaptive Cruise. Bought at $2400.00 below MSRP. Had a deal with one dealer but after a week he could not find a car for me (he had a white one with solar sun roof that no one would trade for). When he canceled on me I was negotiating with 2 other dealers that were making the car out to be the hottest seller ever and after walking out on them they started calling and lowering numbers. They just want to make you think people are banging down the walls for this car. It is a great car and I am loving it although I've only had it for a day.

RE: New S6 selling price
The dealer who originally had my order and couldn't locate are S6 outfitted like I wanted, try to sell me his White S6 with another $1500 off the negotiated price he offered on the vehicle I wanted. His vehicle was Ibis White, Carbon Fiber, Driver Side Leather Dash, Heated Rear Seats, Tech. Pkg., Warm Weather Pkr. Total price $73,297.00. He can't get rid of this car because of the color and warm weather pkg.
