I work for BMW of Fairfax Bodyshop... One of my coworkers has the S4 and is considering selling it to me. He has redone the uppipes, downpipes, intake and exhaust... When I get it I want to chip it... which chip would be most pracitcal for the 6 speed?

I don't know much about upgrades for the S4 yet... I asked the same questions about it about two weeks or so ago and what I gathered was get used the the stock S4 (or however the car is when you get it) and after a few months or so, then start looking into upgrades...

I also heard horror stories about chipping a car with stock turbos, though I am no expert, there are plenty here that can help you out...

but if you run into a problem with your buddy selling you his car, check eBaymotors, and also autotrader, some Audi dealers may have certified pre owned S4's on their lots but i believe the oldest they go this year is like 2002/03.

I too have heard the horror stories... But I also heard that when they had chipped the stock turbos they hadn't changed out the up pipes or anything... so the turbos were running entirely too much boost for the engine to handle. I heard you do need to change out the uppipes, exhaust etc etc. I'm looking at a good price cause this guy is a friend of mine, and I am buying the car myself... Don't make all that much money seein as I am a kid but we'll see what happends. thanks for your help.
