Default New audi urs4 owner with some questions !

Hey there audi anthusiasts. I'm a new audi urs4 owner from Canada.
I love this car so far. But there is few trouble with the car since i only
paid 3500 $ cdn. It only haves 150 000 miles on it !

Brakes are dead must replace disc/pads
a seal from the diff is leaking
it needs new winter tires
The body is in "ok" shape but not perfect.
There is also a minor leak of power steering liquid from pump.
last thing is air in the brake lines.

This may looks like a big problem list but i'm willing to do what must be done to make her in good shape !

here are some pictures.

Pretty sure that its just in Audi's nature to have a short throw. I've had my car for two years now and still can't 1st to 2nd perfectly if I'm driving casually.

I love your car, I wish I could find a good deal on an UrS4. I would rock that thing for the winter. I love the inline 5 turbo. So if anyone knows of an older Audi for sale let me know!

the clutch and brake fluid system share the same resivor (spelled wrong), so if the brake lines have air in them its a good chance the clutch line may also. I would get those bleed out and let us know if that helps with the clutch situation.

Slap some pads and rotors on that thing and bleed the brake lines.
Hopefully you know how to do a conventional bleed and your abs pump hasn't gone dry.

If the system has excessive air in it an/or the ABS module is not working properly due to low fluid / excessive air use this procedure...

With these systems, the correct way to bleed the ENTIRE vehicle is to use a VAG-COM that allows you to cycle the ABS valves and/or the pump motor WHILE you are bleeding the brakes. In effect, this allows you to open the hidden passages in order to purge the fluid completely. Fresh fluid is then drawn into the ABS unit, and the old stuff can be flushed away with the air. Nothing to it.
The end result takes a little more time than a conventional bleed, and requires you use a little more fluid, but looks like this:
Step 1 - Manually bleed RR, LR, RF, LF brakes
Step 2 - Install VAG-COM and cycle all valves and/or pumps
Step 3 - Manually bleed RR, LR, RF, and LF brakes again

You end up having bled the system twice, but this is necessary to ensure that fluid - and not air- is drawn into the unit the next time that the ABS valves (and/or pump) are cycled.

If you have access to a VAG tool and need to know the bleed procedure for the tool I can PM you the instructions.

Good Luck !

my ABS light is turned on already...
so i bet i will have to use this procedure.
I only have basics knowledge in mechanic.
But my friend have 2 audi's 90 and 1 audi s4.
I'm going to do this job with him. I will ask him
about this procedure and see what happens

hey there !
i slapped some new pads in there and changed the discs. I also bled the clutch lines and the break lines !

Everything is fine now !
1 thing tho... I noticed that the car wont drive straight... It needs an alignment badly lol. The front tires are worn iregulary. I also need some new bushings. But the car is now driveable

Hope we get a lot of snow this winter so i can have fun with Quattro
