new 2000 s4 tip owner, lots of questions
I have a 2000 s4 and it's tip. Its in nogaro blue, which is a sweet color I have a little over 70k miles on mine, but i was wondering, is it possible to get an in-dash audi GPS in there? ANd to also have it work with the ipod? THe little display screen that gives me my MPG is fading out pretty badly, did you have that problem? how much to get it fixed?
what are some good mods that can I can to to the car to make it faster and look cooler? for exterior mods such as just the way the car looks, like rims and stuff, which are some good ones that make the car look cool?
also, the buttons that control the climate, such as heat, defrost, AC, etc, they constantly become stuck. Do i need to get the buttons replaced, or is it a bigger problem?
and with the 70k miles, when do i need a timing belt change? how long should the car last me if its properly maintained? ANd i dont realy know that much about cars, so is there any way to just get everything checked out at once? id rather do that and pay a cost rather than to look for things myself and possibly not pick something up that matters, and eventually screw myself. how many miles should the s4 last?
haha sorry for all the questions
I hope you all have a good Saturday
Thanks

RE: new 2000 s4 tip owner, lots of questions
I'm going to answer here & not the PM.
Get a RNS-E from an Audi A6 & the factory Audi iPod adapter. Do a little search on it, & you will get all the info you need.
The center screen is quite common, the fix is a new gauge cluster, it's like $800.
The HVAC controls most likely have old soda, juice or other sticky stuff in there, get some electrical contact cleaner & spray the buttons as you push them.
Yea, you should get the TB done soon, read the FAQ about general Audi stuff.

I have heard good things about the tip. I had one in my A6 Avant and I have to say it was fun. I have never looked down on them...especialy going through boston at 5pm...
