Yes i beat an M5 - 2 runs - surprised him the first time (and wupped him good) - he thought he'd just roll on by me (he had pulled up to me at a light - I'd been driving kinda quickly up to the point) - I could tell...cus he was obviously pissed on the second run...and I beat him again - by about 1/2 - 3/4 car length to about 70.....yeah...really and truly...

As much as I hate BMW's there is no way a Neon is beating a M5 I'm defently going to have to call [sm=bs.gif]

in the new motor trend it rated the 2005 SRT-4 is 6.3 or 6.1 one of them sry i cant remeber which.

 

Was not in a Neon - I'm talking about a 2001 S4 Avant with APR chip and a few other mods....check the sig...

 

I have seen the SRT-4s on the track and they were pulling some pissy numbers for what they have under the hood. May have been the driver or the weather or whatever. Wheel hop is an issue in them, and I hear they are a pain to launch. Even with the Limited slip they added to them they still pull 5.2-5.6 0-60 (depending on the mag and tester) and the 1/4 time didn't change too much with it either. I think the limited slip helped most on the twistys where they quit lighting up the outside tire in the turns.

M5's have different gearing.
Their 0-60 times are greater than stock S4's.

 

I'm not sure what the HP is - but I'm not talking the brand new M5 - have never even seen one yet - I'm talking about one of the recent gen just prior to the current mode (I assume the new V10 M5 is available - but it may not be yet - don't know). However I've also taken one of those Jag - Type Rs which have 390hp...it was likewise glorious! (was not from a stop but was in a traffic situation...breaking free of some traffic into the open that is...still he couldn't catch me though he tried...he wanted it big time...though thumbed up me after....)
