yea those srts are engineered pretty nice. the model i test drove had no power rear windows, power front, roll down in the back, wicked cool. that car was made stickly for preformance with little to no comfort, unless u get the viper racing seats, but still. off the line i could see the srt doing some nice things, take it to the highway...nuff said

looking at the specs fro each car if u both can drive well and they are both stcik the s4 shoould win. But tehre are alot of variables. I would get a GIAC and then get a flashloader. U can change to different modes including valet for if someone else is parking ur car so they dont abuse it like in ferris buller.

edit: i just looked at the specs and ur car would win if it was a stock 2003 but a 2004 gets 0-60 in 5.3. This also depends on ur car year and such. I think the B5 s4 is 0-60 in 5.5

 

well the difference is the SRT 4 weights about as much as a tin can and a S4 weight about as much as a house

This is true, srt-4 are ALOT lighter than an s4, I dont think theses cars are ment to go against srt-4's, its ok but some how Ill find away. Like gsalvatori said

Yeah - (in my 2001 Avant with APR chip, DVs, intake and apexi exhaust) I've taken a (seemingly stock) SRT-4 from about mid 40s to 100-110 or so - and I clearly had the power advantage (seemed easy really - but I can make many cars seem slow [sometimes standing still slow] - even supposedly fast ones...have had 100% success against EVOs and STis - 3 for 3 with each for instance....same with M3s and the only M5 I've ever run with...etc). I suspect that I would even have done better from a stop (as the SRT-4s have some wheel hop issues I understand) - caveat being that I don't know how good of a driver he was. I've seen (and heard) two modded SRT-4s that were very impressive - looked sharp and sounded wicked. I suspect they might give me a bit more difficulty - bottom line though is that IMO for any vehical in the approx 5 sec 0-60/mid 13s 1/4 - give or take - it really is a drivers race. I can launch the S4 real well when I want and it has super mid range punch with all the torque - so as long as yor chipped and have tweaked other areas a bit - and you know how to launch - I wouldn't see why you should be fearful. Not sure whats involved in an SRT-4 stage 2 mod...but I do know that the S4 is more easily lauchable regardless...

 

Modded srt-4s have crazy wheel hop. I just have to save little bit for the APR so when i get it, i'll let yall kno what happened. Im thinking about getting the
