MSD ignition and S4s?
My brother just gave me a series 6A 6200 MSD ignition. Do our S4s produce multiple spark via ECU+coils or only 1 spark per cycle? If only 1, is this application compatible? I did a search but nothing in detail specific. Among the many things I was given, one notable was a 1965 Plymouth Barracuda. My S4 wasnt heavy enough to tow it, but the F-150 I rented had no where near the power of a stage 2 S4.

6A wont work on a car with COP. It's meant for a distributor or single coil based system. B5 S4's are coil on plug are they not?
The MSD that would work on your car would be a DIS-6. Do a search on that. I used a DIS-4 on my 4cyl turbo cars and it was awesome. THe two step is a launch monster, I could peal out with 12psi of boost and hit 26psi in my talon like nothing with the two step. Building boost before you launch with AWD is also a tranny killer so keep an extra laying around.
If you are not racing or messing around on the streets (and have deep pockets) don't bother your stock ignition system is fine.

I'll get a pic of the Plymouth, needs a new hood and bumper but all else is in fair cond. and it sounds raw(V8). Even 40 years later its a fast car. The MSD was meant for it but thought the Audi could benefit. My brother had a 1929 Ford model "A" sitting next to the Barracuda, Im hoping he'll give that to me some day.
