doubtful.. evo takes better to mods then teh sti. at least the new ones.

But it matters from roll and from dig etc etc.... 2.0l evo running 19psi stock.. vs 2.5l sti running about 14-15psi stock.

plus the Evo IX is actually running closer to 21psi stock(With the addition of the MIVEC and a larger Hotside).

I've never run an STI, only driven them, so I can't really comment on those.

I have run an EVO MR with some work done to it and was able to pull on him....not to sure what was done to it though.

Not really...just GIAC X, Labrees, Borla, X-1 intake (didn't have it at the time) all on K03's. Everything else done to the car shouldn't matter much in acceleration/power. I have gotten some nice FATS times for this set-up though, despite some sort of phantom boost leak I've been can't seem to locate, and the car running very rich on WOT.

Hopefully all the issues will be resolved when the engine is pulled to install the K04s sitting on my couch.

i had an 04 STi for just under 3 years.....and my old roommate had a b5 s4. when i was stock, he had full exhaust and tuning and other things...and everytime we raced i would jump out 3-4 cars...and hold that til ~80 or so...and by 125 or so hed pass me and leave....

didnt matter if it was a stop or roll race....id be infront until 120 or so....then i did pretty much every bolt on and killed him for a while until he did k04s+ and raped me

and for the record...the STi will do 135 if 5th....and just over 160 top speed....not 130's....

I have just changed my MY00 imprezza with full de-cat for a MY03 S4. My opinion is that I could most probably edge out the S4 on the twisties but that would be more down to me knowing the car than to power.

My friend has an STI and its pretty bl00dy quick, 0-60 bout 4.6sec so it eats me.

I always say tho that these figures are so close that its mostly down to the driver than the car, not many folk can beat me on my own back roads if I am driving my van so just goes to show local knowledge and skill play a big part.

Anyway i'm off track here, I would have the S4 anyday, a perfect mix of luxury and power, perfect.........

well maybe a RS4 is perfect

Pedro..
