I owned a Subaru a Honda S2000 and now am the pround owner of a 2001 S4 and the S4 is by far the best all around car, The subaru handled the best (mostly because i sunk 2000 into suspesion) and the S2000 was fun to rip through VTEC in up to 9000 RPMS but the S4 is the most fun because it has what the other two didn't, luxury. It doesn't beat you to death on the freeway or have a constant exhaust drone, it's very civil and it can be fast. You can always make a car faster or even lighter but it's a lot harder to make it more civil and refinend and luxurious.

And i would agree that up to about 80 the Sti should take the S4 depending on mods oof each of course but after 90 ish almost anything will spank a Subaru due to the 3.33 gearing...great acceleration and the 6th gear in the Sti is not an over drive (it's not much taller than 5th) so even under full boost in 6th the Sti will top out around 136ish (again depending on mods)

couldnt agree with you more man ^^^. Each of those cars is nice and have their own strong points. .but overall i dont think match. The S can be a pretty good handling car though..once you get a sway bar and suspension on there.

doubtful.. evo takes better to mods then teh sti. at least the new ones.

But it matters from roll and from dig etc etc.... 2.0l evo running 19psi stock.. vs 2.5l sti running about 14-15psi stock.
