Default Moarboost's 2.7tt Thread

I'm not gunna promise this is gunna move quickly, but it will get done.

No, that's not me, it's my right hand man. Basically full motor for $800 bucks Canabian. Complete engines harness, sensors, good turbos, turns fully. Smashed passenger side valve cover, timing belt cover and crumpled y-pipe.

What I wanna do with it:

-GT3582R's
-Pauter I-Beam Rods w/ 034 coated rod bearings and better than arp 2000
-Not sure about pistons yet, gotta tear it apart but something stupidly expensive
-Built 2.8 heads, probably Supertech everything unless someone has a better suggestion
-3.0 Crank but no overbore if I dont have to. Would like to stroke to 2995cc without taking any meat off the walls
-9.0:1 CR
-Supporting mods (fuel, powereverythingintercoolager, electronics, etc)

wow! sounds good. where are you getting exhaust manifolds from? check out audi4parts.com for those pieces that were broken. you got a great deal on that engine package! how many miles on it?

We Canabians use Kilometers like the rest of the world ! It had around 100k in terms of miles. Manifolds I am unsure of yet, but its not gonna be a plain on log, I know that much. Thanks for the link but I'm probably going to grab all new upgraded plumbing from 034 and ECS.

I'm leaning the build towards more of a street rocket with low end power so long skinny runners across the board and better spool.

damn. an upgraded y-pipe is gonna set you back. the rs4 one is like $700+ and the loba one is like a grand. are you gonna upgrade the intake manifold and throttle body?

your build sounds like its going to be wicked!

P.S. let me know if you find brand new valve covers cause i have no idea where you would find them new and i would like a pair.

-GT3582R's= WAY to big

This is the only way to go: https://vastperformance.com/index.ph...7t-gt-600.html

i'd go tial 605's or 770's over the 600 kit.

I'd have to agree. The GT3582R's would be a little laggy but the right turbine AR and extra displacement from the 3.0 crank it shouldnt be too bad. Did a quick sketch through the math, gunna redo and reverify tomorrow but this is my logic:

GT30's or maybe even 28's since it will be mostly street are a more logical choice. I think some variation of 30's would be a happy medium for spool and power. Reason for bigger turbo is power goals and we all know 25psi on k04s is different than gt28r's vs gt30 etc etc

Yes, 92mm maf and all the correct sized plumbing. There would be no point with bigger turbos and 2.8 heads if the piping is restrictive.
