Default MAF sensor bypass

Is there anyway to bypass it other then having it tuned out? Like using a resistor or something. I know it's not a GM car or anything, but most cars you can simply unhook the MAF, insert the right resistor, and it will constantly read cold as hell, therefore upping the performance. And I've tried looking on here, but "MAF" is for some reason too short to be used in the search bar and I've flipped through almost every page of this site and did not find anything about it. So has no one tried yet, or is it just not possible?

doing this will most likely make your car run like crap and hurt your gas mileage. If you want more performance get a reflash.
