MAF readings low, timing retarded...whats wrong here???

RE: MAF readings low, timing retarded...whats wrong here???
only code is B1 S2 Oxygen sensor
ordered the replacement...that is causing a CEL...but there are no other codes.
If the MAF was dirty/faulty and was causing a timing retard....would it throw a code?

the maf would throw a code and a bad o2 sensor would cause the same problem (B1 S2) not seen these codes before you must be using some other type diagnostic machine??

Im using a VAG-COM. Im getting 2 codes and a CEL. The codes are:
B1 S2 Lambda Sensor Open Heater Circuit
B1 S2 Lambda Sensor (cant remember the rest)
anyway i concluded it was a faulty heater in the sensor, so i ordered a replacement. The replacement will solve these 2 codes and the CEL. Will it also fix the issue im having with the MAF reading/timing retardation/boost issues?

the o2 sensor informs the ecu of the problem and will do what its designed to do (compensate) but I think your on the right track HOS2 BANK 1 refers to the second o2 sensor nearest the cat that on the side where cylinder 1 is

Yeap i know. I ordered the sensor already. Should ship out today.
The heater has an open loop on a resistance test. Could this lead to boost problems caused by low MAF readings--->retarded timing?
basically im asking, is it posible for all of this to be related? Or is the boost problem a seperate issue?

yes its related and only when you fit the new sensor will it show, check the wires on the o2 sensor they could be damaged so the o2 sensor is not heating up hence the open circuit
