Default Laguna Vid

A short and quick look at my own time at Seca. I didnt have an on board cam but my girlfriend was sweet enough to video the lot of my laps from the hot pits and the finish line flagging station (occassionally getting updates on my position on the track).

Since there isnt much turning action, its just me passing so it might seem a little boring. I had a lot more footage but its mostly the same thing with different cars. Once you see a pass its kind of all the same thing. Would be nice to see the progression up to that point. Hopefully next time when I am in a higher class.

I highly recommend people coming out to this the next time it comes. You learn a lot about your car and what its capable of.

Corkscrew was great. Its not super crazy if you dont go hot into it. The freakiest thing, by far, is the straight leading to turn 1. You are going flat out, past the bridge, over a blind rise. Its kinda cool to just charge through it.

Nice video!

Was that a Q7 I saw out there around the 2:00 mark?

How's the track? Smooth?

Drivers who know they are going to be passed normally lift a bit and let you pass. I had one instance where that C63 was being a dick and wouldnt let me pass. With this particular group there are two passing zones for our class; one major one happens to be where a car like the C63 shines. I can be all over him in the turns but as soon as he is on the throttle at that point, he is gone.

You know what, it does look like a Q7 but it was an A3 I believe. There were a few hatches there, including a nicely modded GTI and a couple A3s.

I love that whole track. The only turn I really do not like is turn 11. Others probably feel the same way; Dean spun his champ car there. Im sure he feels the same way.

How well did people handle turns 7 and 8? I'd think that would be a big collision hot spot with it sneaking up on you so fast after a long WOT run.
