soo im plaing on getting my turbos changed soon cus the old ones are dying...and was wondering can i run k16/k04 alone in place of my stocks w/o harming the engine?...

now i know that it wouldnt be giving major gains and what not but have no fear guys plan to do the necessary upgrades too exert max power from them...just alil later dont have $ now

not sure, usually you should at least get some kind of tune to the ECU to compensate the new turbo's because of course the stock air/fuel is only calibrated to the k03's... might run a little differently, not sure though on a hybrid setup though

Surely if you reduced the boast to your current levels, you wouldn't have any issues. Then you can increase the boast once you perform your other mods. Just a thought.

 

ya i want too use those but im not sure if i can maybe the best ways is too contact him...but i also agree with you that i could probably reduce the boost levels till further mods hmmmm...well im goi n tommorow too get my car looked at and an estimate soo wish me luck guys ...also u guys think the k16/k04 hybrids are alil too much? also anyone know the price on em ...would it be more econimical too get gt's?

 

You will be fine, you can use Lemi to get the A/F & timing tweaked.

Really just put in K04's or some RS6 hybrids, that is where the support is, & where the big #'s come from.
