K04's came in the mail today!
And the journey begins.....
Decided to just go with PJ K04's because i couldnt find any blown k04's to put 997 wheels in, plus it might help keep the cost down a little.
Im trying to get the big stuff out of the way first, its easier for me that way. On the list before the install are ASP downpipes, JHM transmission rebuild kit, ER sidemounts, and alot more.
Im committed now, time to start collecting the rest of the parts....

Congrats, and welcome to the club, so to speak
Do you still plan on crankin' up the boost on the k03s for the grand finale?
I'd be very tempted to, but if they are still in good shape maybe you should keep them
working and sell them for more to help fund the future mods. Anyways, just a thought.
Do you plan on going with full fueling or just a FPR and some more boost?
Keep us posted for sure.
Man this ****'s addictive isn't it?

Really i should have started buying parts earlier this summer, but i wasnt sure what direction i was going to go in. Now im commited and couldnt be happier about it. The good thing is that the only big parts are downpipes, intercoolers, the tranny rebuild, and then the final tuneing. The rest is smaller stuff, (~$500 range or less) which shouldnt be too bad, my goal is waterfest 2009
Id still like to crank up the PSI in the k03's and see what theyve got left, but that would involve me purchasing a TCD, MBC, and GIACx chip. Well see what happens though...
Im probably gonna go all out, X-1 intake, 85mm ASP MAF, big fuel pump, 60lb injectors, and a custom tune from EPL. I want 400 whp on pump.
The car will have dumps, 4:1 center diff, Vast stage 3 hybrid ceramic clutch, Race density motor, transmission, and diff mounts.

Just curious. Why would you get an ASP MAF when the EPL MAF is also 85mm?
I don't think ASP sells their MAFs separately anymore, because people were purchasing just the MAF and going homebrew.
If you want a cheap true 85mm MAF, get a Vag-Motorsports MAF. I might have a set of 60# injectors for sale in the near future. I have to break-in my motor with them first.

I have searched the forum and cant fine much information. What are the PJ K04's and EPL. All I have found is PJK04 verse Tial 650R videos. I know about the Tial kit and really like the performance capabilities. For EPL I found europen preformace labs but their web site is useless. Planning of new turbos but I want to make it worth it in performance.

I bought my vag motorsport maf for 125 shipped. where as the EPL maf (at the time, was sold separately) was being sold for 309 +shipping.
with my homebrew setup i spent
125 on maf
40 on rs4 accordion hose
300 on injectors
50 for aem intake
and 500 for an ecu
