Im not pro on garrett turbos but ya 25's are smaller than 28's. There are also tons of variations on both too.

If u can build yr motor for the rs6's, do it. those numbers are crazy and it would be piece of mind. I somewhat felt my k04 power last night and Holy Cow! it's all I need right now. I havn't even gone ***** out.
gt2554 are great reliable turbo's. the gt2860 etc are just crazy.
My pick right now is k04. in a few years maybe rs6's.

So sweed, marcs price on those k04's is gonna go up pretty soon? I can deal with a couple hundred dollars i guess but it still sucks.

 

Is your car in at VAST right now? I just purchased an 02 Imola avant with K04's on it currently. I am taking it in on saturday to VAST to have a long list of things done to it. Including putting the RS6 hybrids on it. my question is when do the properly tuned, K04, stage 3 fuel'd spool? I saw someone mention only 80 AWHP in difference between the two, is that a known fact or just assumptions? Is there anything on the market that would help me spool/make power sooner? Has anyone seen an RS6 hybrid do 500+ AWHP.

 

rs6's on race will do 500+ whp... but not hybrids.

Are you getting Hybrids or the Vast/JHM bolt on RS6 turbos? Autospeeds RS6 car made 465 whp IIRC which seems pretty low, with a proper setup on K04's you can make 400 whp, thats where im getting the difference. I do have alot of hope for the RS6's, they spool a little slower but the difference is really seen in the top end. They also really just becoming more popular so theres alot of potential for higher numbers. Then again it all just depends on the dyno, parts on the car, how well the car is running, temperature.... etc bla bla bla

The K04/RS6 hybrids look nice but when i was checking prices it was like $750 per turbo for the modifications, zero clearancing, and ceramic coating IIRC. K04/RS6 turbo's. 460whp on 93 at 22psi and 481whp on 100. http://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2588562.phtml , those are some respectable numbers but thats with water injection.

As far as spooling faster, some nice big downpipes and exhaust dumps would help, manifolds too but not really worth the price.

 

the VAST/JHM bolt ons. I dont think there has been too many dyno runs with that set up..

 

Nope i havent seen any, its relatively new. Autospeed uses a different design to get the turbo to fit on the downpipe, I personally like the Vast/JHM design with the new DP flange better, its much smoother.

Good to hear your doing rods too, any work with the valvetrain, cams, heads, intake manifold?

The lag will be worth the power those RS6's make

 

Jay (JHM) is in the process of getting his kit ready. It's all set up, he just has to dyno it for the specs. He has no time for ithesays :/ It should be coming soon tho.
