Posted this in off topic but I just purchased a 2004 S4... finally after a few years of waiting! Anyway just a few confirmation questions: its obviously a real man's car with a 6-speed and I have little background with speed clutches since I learned, and up to this point, how to drive a stick on an F350 dooley where everything (clutch, gas, shifter) are heavy. On the S4 everything is light as a feather so its taken the two days I've had the car to get used to. I just wanted to confirm that you really only need to engage the clutch a quarter to half of the way to shift when you're really getting on it; I'm used to mashing the clutch all the way to the floor in the trucks. Also what is everyone else averaging when it comes to MPG?

Thanks!

Congrqats i saw your other thread, i love the red with black interior. The Audi red is a great color in my opinion thats one of my favorite color combos.

you should allways depress the clutch all the way to the floor when you shift. Ya at like 1/4 to 1/2 it will kind of drop the gear but you should try to make an effort to push the clutch to the floor.

in the days of $4.00/gallon gas i feel bad for you, it sounds so good when you get on the gas hard.

So are you going to mod it at all? Perhaps a miltek exhaust and vast race gas tune? That would be my plans if i had a b6/b7 haha

When I first saw the red online I wasnt too fond of it, but after seeing it in person I'm beginning to fall in love with it. Its probably the redest red I've seen and definately unique while making a statement.

First thing I'm going to do will most likely be AWE or milltekexhaust then maybe a chip. But first I have to start paying off this new debt! [:@]
