intercoolers fmic smic ?? hp increase from stock??
I really cant decide weather to get a smic or fmic. Does anyone have any recommendations? I have a stage 3 right now, and would like to get the intercooler or intercoolers to keep the turbos healthy, but does anyone know how much hp increase will come from that upgrade from stock? I heardsmic's aren't the best because of a blockage behind the passenger side unit. Can't remember whatthe blockagewas. I hear all differentopinions all over the place.I'm confused. Thanks for any replies.

Get some ER SMIC's they are HUGE! Or get the ASP FMIC kit. If both of them are to much $$, get AWE.
You should see 5-10% increase over stock. Boost should also come on a little quicker, & less heat soak, so you have more power longer, not to mention better LTFT & better timing.

I did a search for the ER intercoolers and they look BIG. The website didnt have a price, they only said coming soon. On the news page they said they were moving to a new location and would be fully operational the first week of febuary, do you think they would release them before then? What do you think they will cost, $1700 - $2000?
I had made up my mind to do SMIC opposed to front mount, and AWE looked pretty good and not too expensive, but these are tempting. If i could come up with the money would you reccomend these?

the only fmic i would consider is ASP's fm.. the rest have had issues, and asp has been testing the **** out of theirs. Otherwise id go with the smic...
that ER looks really good.. awe's is good as well

It's been out for a couple of months, they just don't update the web page.

so what is the disadvantage of not coming with shrouds? The air is not directed right to the intercoolers?
EDIT: ER's website says that the production units will come with shrouds! Meaning its ER intercoolers for me.
