I know this has been covered pretty exstensively but it seems there are quite a few opinions on the matter out there, so I thought I would double check before buying anything else.

Currently have a drop in K&N.

Going to do Darintake mod. Would it be beneficial to get the AWE S-Flo in place of the K&N?

 

K&N filter oil has been known to cause problems with the MAF.
But most of that may be from over oiling the filter.

Do the Darintake, & either replace the K&N with a ITG, or get the AWE S-flow.

The performance increase is very marginal. It mostly seams to up in the upper RPMS.

 

I have heard with the intake it gives even the diverter valves a whoosh sound. Is this true.

 

No, I have had no more or less noise with it.

 

Good enough. I was thinking about doing the S-flo one from awe-tuning. They claim 10-11 crank hp. Seems a little much for an intake doesn't it?

 

I just did the Darintake today on my s4 and i didnt notice a louder swoosh sound. but i noticed a slight difference when you let off the gas at a high rpm. the noise is a little higher pitched
