Hey man. I'M 17 and I have a 2002 BMW 325XI. Insurance is about $2800 a year. I have ERIE Insurance which is one of the best. To put things into perspective I was looking at a 95 M3 Coupe when I got my license and insurance was $4200 a year. I have no accidents, and no tickets for the time I have my license. I plan on getting an E36 M3 in the near future. I wanted an S4 but Audis cost too much money to fix and break down a lot more than BMWs. My car has 78k miles and the only major things I've had to do to it were the 2 rear springs (common in all E46 3 series at 75k miles). At 75k in an Audi S4 get ready to pull out your pocketbook.

For the kid who wants the S4 but a 1.8T Jetta. You can't go wrong with a VW. It will last forever and has plenty of power. 180hp stock 230hp if you throw in a Neuspeed chip. My dad actually has the 1.8T Jetta I used to drive and the only thing that ever has gone wrong was an ignition coil which was under factory recall. Car is a 2003 with 46k miles.

yeah im paying 400.60 a month im 20 with a 01 s4 and 1 accident and one ticket...it sucks........and thats the cheapest i could find through 8 companies....good luck....

oh p.s must be nice to be a spoiled kid and have mommy and daddy buying you a car ....
have no choice to pay the insurance due to me financing the car i have to have full insurance with a 500 deductible it is crap..what way is there to get out of that besides selling the car which is not in my mind at all.....

just tried other companies all over 500 they are crazy is it because im 20 with 2 major tickets and 1 accident???but i talked to my insurance agent again this mornign to see what i can do about lowering my premium and he got it dropped to 346 a month with a 1000 deductible hoptfully the bank that financed me does not find out i went with the 1000 deductible instead of 400.60 a month with a 500 deductible...they require a 500 deductible...but all well tell them to deal with it if need be i mean what do they expect from me they are getting 350 a month for my car payment and they insurance was getting 400 a month god damn this is half my mortgage. for a car....but all well gotta love those audi's...should of just bought a 2.8 and did the s4 conversion for the price difference....

I'm 21 and just picked up my S4 about a month ago and it only costs $1600 a year for me to insure with a $400 deductible. I was surprised tofind that it was actually cheaper to insurethanthe '05 Jeep Liberty that I just got rid of. I'm still on my dad's insurance policy which helps bring it down, but I'm the primary driver of the S4. And yes, I make all the payments myself, have since I was old enough to own a car.
