My friend is looking for at an 00 s4 with 84,000 miles. If it was well maintained do you think he would have any major problems with it, with it being properly maintained after he got it.

 

I have a 2000 S4 wiht 72,xxx on her. It was well maintained but it needs rotors, pads, control arms. Engine is strong and tranny (auto) is smooth. I would pay 17,995 for an S4 with 84K, what is the price on the one your friend is looking at.

 

Cool, well i already looked at the rotors and they look good(he also drove it and control arms were fine). I also talk to the owner of the place and he was impressed with it also. He is asking 19,900, but with some dealin i think he will come down. Thanks for the input.

 

Good luck, The S4 is by far the best car I have owned. That said, I am not going to put "junk parts" on her. The miles don't bother me. I don't see why I won't get 150K out of it. I guess the most important service would be the timing belt at 105K.

 

Yeah, my chipped A4 has 110,000 (99) and runs great. I plan on doing the k04 turbo in the spring so after that im good for a LONG time with proper maintence.



by the way... I like the older style b5s better then the new ones anyway. What about you?
