haha! Are you serious? Insurance companies can actually give a polygraph to someone making a claim?
Basically what happened was that he went around asking people to go "Steal" his car and then burn it. BUT no one would do it so he did it himself and someone reported that they might have thought there was insurance fraud going on. SO the insurance company launched a full investigation and by doing that they were allowed to administer the polygraph test. He failed it and it went down hill from there.

how did you get such coverage of said tubos
Thats what I want to know. I looked everywhere for an insurance company that would cover the turbos....none of them would touch it with a 10 foot pole.

mmmm, very interesting. I heard of a guy that had an after market warranty for, I guess bumper to bumper. And the company will pay for OE or cheaper. Thats where our friends come in. Aftermarket KO4's are cheaper than OE KO3's and same with the ECU-through GIAC or APR-is cheaper than Audi. And so on and so on on till you've got a built up car. At least thats my understanding of it. But my luck they'd take the car or I'd get busted or caught.
oh well, wishful thinking

I wouldn'y want to give up the particular name of the hypothetical warrenty company but go to yahoo and type in AUto warrenty. I think it is one of their sponsered links. It was expensive 3k+ but bumper to bumper in. turbos, AWD, trans, suspension, even emmisions (read O2 sensors), $0 deductible. Totally worth it for peace of mind.
Can some one explain how the boost contorller on the GIAC program works. It has 3 digit values (obviously not in PSI). I dont know how the values equate.

Man this is crazy my coworker and I were just talking about this because my turbos are covered by my warranty, I told him I talked to my mechanic and he said he would bill the insurance co for k03`s and I would just make up the difference for k04`s if they ever blew.and he said since they are oil cooled just cap off the inlet lines let them blow then reconnect and enjoy getting new turbo`s . I just could not do that, i`d be to scared it wouldn`t get covered and i`d get stuck with the bill.

Sooks: That $3ooo dollars buys me new turbos, new O2 sensors (which are already going), any of the suspension parts that are notorios for going, and my transmission when that blows up. Il bet you those all cost way more than 3K. Thats not including any unforseen problems that might come up that are covered.
Johnny s4: Im thinkin the same thing. That why I am trying to just drive the turbos extra hard.

solid idea here if your serious about this. If your just going to drive it hard your going to have to really beat the **** out of her on a daily basis, and make sure NOT to let the car warm up, and shut it down right after while shes really cookin.

Put something in your Y-pipe, or intake in general...turbos will suck em up. This is an aweful thing to do and can't believe I just said it.

Just make sure it won't get sucked up into the engine.
