Default How about these mods for my 2000 Tip?

APR 93 octane Chip
APR Stealth Exhaust
APR Bi-Pipe
Stratmosphere Diverter Valves

I know I have a lot of APR stuff listed but I'm open to anything. I really don't like having to spend $1090 on just the exhaust. The whole deal installed would be $2479. plus tax.
Any other suggestions?

I dont want to sound like u dad, but i would suggest u make sure that the car is running rite 1st and the maintainace things are done 1st

The B5 S4 can through some error codes, so check them if its rite after that mod

As far as mods u have done u research and i would recomend a DTS and Aux after pump mod as well

Yeah, I got a great deal on this high mileage S4, knowing that I'd have some things to take care of first. I have a good amount of money left over from purchase to do both hopefully. What do those mods that you mentioned do?

The DTS (drive train stabiliser) is for the drive train 'slap' that u get when u are on and off the throttle more so when u really boot it and u feel the car shudder:http://www.autospeedperformance.com/

I just ordered mine from AutoSpeed and cant wait to put it in, it will make the car feel more firm and asured when it shifts according to my searches and what AutoSpeed says

I think its a must for a chipped car as if u notice it now (i do) it will be more pronouced after chip

Its a cheap mod, $295 from AutoSpeed

The Aux after run pump, makes use of the current after run pump already present on the B5 S4, but makes it come on after every shut down of the car

Check ou this AW write up: http://www.audiworld.com/tech/eng59.shtml

And coz u got a higher mileage one make sure u do the belt if not done mate, id dont know how many times i should stress this but when some of the guys buy the B5 S4 all they wont to do is mod first

Personally i would do a full service on the car, checking and changing all fluids etc at leats u know everything is rite and u have a baseline to start from

Cheers mate

Thanks for the info. I'll check that stuff out. Yeah, Timing belt and some other important things have already been done. Plan to have my Audi tech thoroughly inspect entire vehicle with me this week. We'll see what we find.

Here is how I would start out moding:

Vast Short Shifter (VastPerformance.com)
AMS or Samco TBB instead of APR Bi-pipe (just personal preference)
replace Diverter Valves with OEM 710N's
GIAC-X software/chip (again personal preference)
Vogtlands, PSS9's or Stasis Tracksports for suspension
Autospeed, Borla or AWE exhaust (check classifieds for used exhausts)
Piggie Pipes (unless you get a great deal on used DP's)
RS4 intercoolers (unless you get a great deal on AWE's)

I'd personally stay away from the after-run mod.... some people connect it to premature battery failures. Just let the car cool down for a minute or two after running it hard before shutting it off. Just my opinion.

1st, make sure everything else is in order! Once you mod it any part that is about to fail, is going to fail!

DV's & Bi-pipe is a awesome start!. 710n's are fine DV's for cheap.

Now how much do you really want to spend?

I would,
1.Chip, then you should get the Tip chip.
2. Cat back, any good one is going to be $1000
3. Darintake (drill holes in the bottom of the airbox)
4. Suspension, get a nice coil over!

Down pipes are sweet, but they make a lot more turbo noise, and are a royal PITA to install, they are usually 4-6hrs labor.
