Got oem Resurfaced do i need LWFW?
So im thinking of going with a vast stage 3 clutch to handle future stage3-/+ and was wondering if the LWFW was absolutley nec.? Will i have any slipping or anyhting because im choosing to stay with the oem resurfaced as opposed to going with fidanza or vast LWfw?
The resurfaced oem also has under 15,000 miles on it.
Thanks for the info fellers. trying to get all these tranny woes straightened out.

I bought myself a AWE Stage 2 clutch from a guy at AW classifieds. he had also an AWE
LWFW and got rid of it. He told me he didn't liked the feeling of it + he also told me he couldn't
really notice a gain in performance with it, so he put back the OEM FW to get the stock feeling. With the $$$ saved by putting back an OEM FW you're getting closer to your Stage3 project
I dont know if somebody switch from OEM to LWFW could explain the difference between the 2 it would be great.

I LOVE my rs4 clutch with LW flywheel. The throttle response really is improved and there is no chatter. Its not necessary but it can be a fun thing. Its just better to do them at the same time so you save on labor (or if you do it you dont have to drop your transmission twice). I have doubts about the rs4 clutch once i go full stage 3 sometime in the next year so i may be switching to a vast clutch kit later. Id say go for the lightweight flywheel youll enjoy it.

The rpm's rise and drop much quicker and i feel like i have more controll over the throttle. When i touch the gas the response is much faster. It makes it sooo much easier to match rev's when shifting and shifting quickly. You also might notice that starting from a stop is a little different but not in a bad way, just because as you give it gas the rpm's drop faster while the clutch is depressed. I love mine, so glad i got it.
