Tire/Rim Insurance S4
Yes. For that exact reason I got the tire/rim insurance for my 2012 S4!!
I have the 19's so it's a must!!
Also, the premium is much less than what I had to pay to insure the RFTs on my 07' 335i!!
But I learned that even if you have just one incident...the insurance pays for itself.
If you are going to run sport tires with low profile and spirited driving get the insurance!!
BTW...yes RFTs are a TOTAL pain!!
Had two incidents of very low mileage tires developing "eggs" on the sidewalls.
Trust me...I did not hit any potholes, etc. as there was not even a scrape on my very soft (but gorgeous) 162 style sport rims.
Many others...had the exact same issue with those RFTs.
The RFTs for the 335i sport package go for $650 a tire!!
Plus...sometimes a week or more wait!!
So I always get the insurance plan....always...it has paid for itself every time.
