God Damn Radio won't Budge!!!!!
So I got my radio removal keys and my radio still will not come out! In fact, it just barely moves... WTF!!! Can anyone give me some words of wisdom before I use the wisdom of a f*cking crowbar?! I seriously fiddled w/ it for a good 25 minutes and I cannot seem to get this mother out!!! AAAAHH!!!

nope, they aren't releasing... I thought that it was just in there real good so I very carefully slipped a shim tool in between the console and the unit and the second I put any force on it it made a nice little hair line crack all the way up and down... Yeah you can't see it very easily, but I'm sure the neighbors hood me swearing up a storm... Eventually I'm going to replace it, but I'm still not able to move the radio... I guess I'm going to have to take the whole thing apart... OH JOYOUS DAY!!!!

You really can't take it all apart without taking radio out cause of bolts behind radio. I had problems with mine also, I put light pressure on each corner till I could feel it release. It took awhile and it popping back in a few times but eventually I got it. Try little pressure and do a side at a time.

I'm going to attempt it again tomorrow... it's insanely frustrating!! the tools I bought are uber shitty and flimsy... Its hard to tell if I have the thing unlatched or not... I'll try a long metal nail file tomorrow and see if I can to a latch at a time... UGH! Why did audi design such a stupid radio release!?

do not use metal! thats why audi invented shitty plastic keys, the metal will permantly bend your tabs in the wrong way and then your f-ed. Just hold in there it takes a while but once you get it out the first time it will be easier after that.

The keys I got are like super thin sheet metal... I suppose I'll dick around w/ them for a while. It's impossible to look in there to see what's going on. I cannot believe how hard it is to unlatch them. UGH!
