Ok so like an hour and a half ago I leave my mechanics shop, I was discussing AWE stuff to put on my 2001 S4, as im leaving my ESP and anti lock brake light comes on and the car starts to lose power. I just couldnt keep the engine from reving and it kept trying to stall out on me. This happened last night also but not as extreme and i sat for a molment and the car was fine. This time was not the car and took about 20 minutes just to wait and get the car running to get it back to the shop. Any ideas as to what is going on here?

Take it to dealer and be like yo guy my ***** wack. FIX IT. cause you got prolly like 30-60-90 day warranty atleast. Dont waste your money fixing somehting the dealers has to do by law. YEAAAAAA.

PS. You might have like a 100-500 deductible on any repairs the dealer is going to do, so check that out.

 

Yeah I would do that but I didnt buy the car through the dealer.... I'm thinkin I might be screwed here.

Oh well, I guess I did know what I was getting myself into by buying the car. I think it will turn out okay, my mechanic used to have the same year S4 and knows a lot about the car.

 

possible brake switch issue, or abs module. both are fairly common.

 

are they fairly expensive also?

 

Any lights when this happens? Does the ABS light flash?
Is the CEL light on?

What did your tech do to the car?

Do you know anything about the car? If we tell you check things, are you abel to do so?
Not be sarcastic, just it's not going to be any help if we tell you check things, and you can't.
