Error Code, what does it actually mean
Hi guys, its been bad times for the B5 S4 lately, the strange noise I was experience at 35-40 mph is now happening all the time and is definatly a metal rattling noise and is particularly noticable when I hit the clutch and today the check engine light came on. I went to autozone and had the code diagnosed it came back as P1113 Fuel Air Metering, but when I check the code against the Bentley guide the guide is calling it Bank 1 Sensor 1 Internal Resistance too High. What do these mean and which one would be correct? I am also assuming that the noise has something to do with it. Thanks in advance.

RE: Error Code, what does it actually mean
well, they gave you a generic code so the one in bentley guidethat you looked up is right.I dont know what it means but it probably has something to do with an o2 senser. So go ahead and have the code cleared and if there is a real problem then, the car will throw the code again. Most likely, the code was thrown by you roddin the **** out of it and it wont come back on. And the noiseis probably a throw out bearing if it is getting louder when you engauge the clucth. How many miles are on it?

So far there is 93647 miles on the car. I'm still a newbie to auto tech in general, what is a throw out bearing? And would it effect the drivability of the car, because so far other than the noise and the light drivability seems normal? Thanks

the throwout bearing is in the clutch and is what the pressure plate slides on to engage with the flywheel. Your O2 sensor code should not have much to do with your rattle. I do not know how many miles the S4 normally takes before the clutch or throwout bearing fails.
All.. How many miles did your last clutch take before it needed replacing?
