Electrical problem!?!?
Ok, i just got my car tues night, love it but all they had was the Valet key!!! Since i haveowned an audi before i new exactly what the key was and let them know i was owed a real key fob... they agreed and said they would order me one. MY QUESTION IS.... will the Valet key unlock or lock any of the doors other than the drivers side. My problem is i cant lock any door but my driver door, onlymanually using the key!! I cant even use the lock/unlock switch on the inside of my door... it does nothing. i checked the fuse for the "central locking system" and its fine... now im stumped!!! the dealer says they will do what it takes to fix it (keep in mind this is NOT an audi dealer) any suggestions!?!?!?

RE: Electrical problem!?!?
There is only 2, locks on the car, drivers door & trunk.
If you unlock the door with the the switch inside, it should unlock all the doors. If not, the lock pump might be broken, or have a leak. It's a vacuum system, so it's prone to failure. The pump is in the trunk in the passenger side behind the rear wheel. It should show a leak, or failure if you Vag-com it.

Pepboys charges for it but they do have snap-on scantools that will read VAG codes not just generic OBDII, autozone is free but its only generic OBDII and probably wouldn't have any body codes like a central locking pump.
