Default ECU installation?

I have a 2000 Audi S4 and just recieved a programmed ECU and was wondering the correct removal and installation procedures. Thanks.

take the rubber baffle/seal that is towards the rear of the engine compartment and extends from the fenders, where the battery is located. then remove the black cover that goes over the battery and brake fluid reservoir by sliding it forward. then remove the negative battery cable, and locate the ECU cover on the driverside. there should be 4 8mm bolt heads securing it. then upon removal take a screw driver and pop the clip that holds the ecu in off, then you have two slide connectors to remove off the back of the ecu.

Do I have to worry about presets or any other programming? Or do I just unplug the stock ecu and put in the programmed one and go?
