Default Downpipes

I want to do downpipes for my next mod. How much difference is the performance and sound when you install the dps? I think it only adds like 10 hp but im not sure. What company is good out there and whats the cheapest. I have a resonated milltek cat back right now. Thanks.

Autospeed has a set of good Dp's for around 1500, if your looking for cheap go with piggys they are stock Dp's with the pre cats removed. Or you can go with techtonics Dp's for $1000. As far as the sound it's quite a diffrence go on youtube and look some vids up.

Im going with Vast(piggies), its cheaper. About $800 but thats with a core charge, send them back your old pipes and your only looking at about $400. As for gains, they state 20hp.

Hey, its about time I see someone else with R1 DVs....thought I was the only one.

APR, ASP, and AWE are all pretty close in price, Autospeeds are the largest though at 3" all the way through.

SSAC and Techtonics are priced lower

Piggie pipes are great for stage 2 because theyre FREE. Dont pay $800 Personally if your sending your old pipes back to vast for $400 back you might as well just take em and gut the precats yourself in the first place and save $700+....

Your car will be louder, turbos will spool faster, and you will get some more power, but that also depends on if you have cats or dumps and what kind of cat back you have

OOps so used to B5's sorry.

Any new downpipes will give you alot more noise, but if you want it to roar get rid of the cats too. Just go miltek without cats so it matches your cat-back youll be happy.

Wouldn't a B6 (non-turbo car) not have downpipes. Wouldn't a V8 have headers?
