Unhappy dissapointed in 1/4 mile time B5 S4

So I finally got to the track yesterday( Milan Dragway,Mi) was curious in what my car would do. Mods I got a Piggies,2.5" custom exhaust,GIAC X,710N's,Vast MBC,Airbox mod. Well my best time of the day was 14.43 @ 94.76mph. Very dissapointed to say the least I was expecting atleast mid 13's but the thing that threw me off as I couldn't get over 15psi cruising around on the freeway I have seen up to 20psi. Sometime this week im going to boost leak test and smoke test and see what I find. Is this the time I should expect with the mods I have. Been talking to one of the guys at Gwerks and looking to get a custom J fonz tune stage 2. So I think over the winter when work gets slow for me it will be time to pull the motor again and go stage 3+ I would really like to get this car in the high 11's to low 12's. Any thought on why I got such a slow 1/4 time.

with the auto tranny your launches really suffer. you need a better torque converter with a higher stall point. That in conjunction with a tcu chip would help a lot.

Drivetrain slop is probably a factor too. Engine, tranny and diff mounts should all be upgraded.

Intake air temp was probably getting up there, especially if you were doing multiple runs. Intercoolers and/or water meth would be great to help this.

A custom stage 2 with water meth and intercoolers would most likely get you into the low 13's. With all the mods i listed you might be able to hit mid to high 12's.

Going stage 3+ on an auto isnt recommended, but i'm going to attempting it soon. So i cant tell you not to do it. I've been running a VERY mild 3- tune for sometime now. Once i get 3in dp's, aquamist and my tranny sorted game on!

Yeah there is some lag time for sure on the launch. Didn't have to deal with heat soak to much cause it was around 40 degrees out and I was taking 30 minute breaks between runs. Where would you suggest getting a good torque converter from and what stall would be good to get for a DD that goes to the track maybe 3 times a year. I have been thinking about swapping to a 5 or 6 speed Manuel just need ti do alot of research and see if the 5 speed is even a option. I think a 5 speed with anti lag would be sick. Don't know anything about the water meth so it looks like I have more reading to do.

For a tc i am either going with 517 or Advanced Automotion. As for stall i was going for 2000rpm. Pair that up with a vast tip chip, valve body re-calibration and an upgraded tranny cooler and your set.

As far as manual transmissions go i would do a six speed tdi swap, with upgraded 1st and 2nd gears. You can also add gears out of other trannys. like the 3rd gear out of a b6 s4 or b5 rs4. Then you could upgrade your differential as well. Anti-lag would be awesome!

The five speed out of an a4 can be used with some modification. It does make some sense for the quarter mile to use this tranny, but for dd i would rather the six speed.

Unless you eased up on the pedal, the 94 MPH trap speed is an indication of low power. With a 14 sec ET you should be up around the 100 MPH mark. IMO you seem to be getting off the line OK, but you are pooping out down the strip
