So I pulled up next to a newish corvette z06 (not sure which year) and he laughed at me. He gave me a 2 car head start off the light thinking he would just crush me. It shocked him when he realized how hard the s4 was pulling. I got the good old wave and nod of respect after i let up at 80 mph and he went scooting on by me. Ah tales from the street, gotta love 'em.

Did the z06 have a little scoop centered in the front of the hood? Thats one way to tell a C6 Z06 (500HP) from a c5 z06 (400hp). Sounds like fun

I did a few pulls with a C5 z06 last summer, and got to drive the same car pretty hard too. Definitely faster than my S, i was stage 2 at the time, just motivation for stage 3!

if it was a z06 C6(friend has one) there is no way u could pull on him ever...car has 505 hp but C5 405 hp with a lead u could hold him off for a bit

I know he was much faster but, I had two car lengths and he didn't pass me till I let up at 80.
I think a rolling start would have been better so I could get a colder air temp instead of hot stoplight air.

 

theres this guy at work who just bought an 06 mustang V6 and he some how has it in his mind that he can beat me. we raced one night off a light and i pulled away only a little bit cuz my car hadnt warmed up all the way and i didnt want to push it. at the time my car was in limp mode and wouldnt boost over 5psi anyway. now he has a chip and intake on his stang and wants to race again thinkin hes going to smoke past me like nothin.. im still stock but no more limp mode. i've been in his car before too and its soo much slower even with the chip. cant wait to put him in his place. i make fun of him all the time for never buying a GT

 

who the hell buys a v6 mustang or camaro and wants to talk about racing.. its like buying a cadillac or a mercedes and asking for the cheapest plasticy interior.. doesnt make sense.. and then talk smack to a forced induction vehicle...lol..

the ford v6 is 1.3 liters bigger than our engine. its not always engine size but gear ratio and weight too. what kind of car is it

 

my buddy just got a G8 GT, and while i haven't run it i'm fairly certain a healthy stg 2 would walk it.
