Cleaning the dash of the S4

Cleaning the dash of the S4
Another potentially stupid question but its kind of hard in some places to tell if the dash is leather or plastic. Sometimes the soft plastic feels pretty close to leather. Seats are obvious, they are leather, but what about the doors, part of them are soft leather, but other parts are hard, are the hard parts plastic?
Just trying to figure out what substance to use to clean the interior. I have Mother's leather cleaner for the leather and Armoral for the vinyl, but I kind of need to figure out which is which

flacid...go with the mothers...
erect...go with the armorall...
I know what you mean...but pretty much if it is soft use the leather cleaner and if it is hard use the amorall...I have not had any probelms using this method.

Don't use ANYTHING on the dash except a soft damp cloth. Treating or conditioning the dash leather will significantly shorten its life since the leather is specifically designed for the UV and heat associated with the dash environment.

RE: Cleaning the dash of the S4
guys, i detail alot of cars and im pretty sure that the dashboard on my 2000 S4 is vinyl/plastic....it is definetly not leather. but offroad911 is right, armoral contains bleach which over time, will discolor your dash board. but it all depends on who you talk to. i have heard many different opinions from tons of people. i personally use it in the winter when the sun isnt as strong, or when i am showing the car. if you protect your dash with a windshield cover you are set, and that is the best thing u could do for the entire cockpit. hope that helps

I agree with damp lintless cloth..but sometimes I uses amorall wipes....only if there is some crud that needs some 'additional' cleaning (spilled some coffee).
I tried them on part of the dash that you can't see...and it turned out fine...
