Default cats or dv's ?

i recently got my car chipped, i came up on a 98ish m3 and barely kept up in chipped mode, i felt an odd delay. can anyone help me out with this? i think its my diverter valves, but my chk eng lite has come on for my cats(sporatic) twice now, is it maybe the cats. also i have been reading that the stock b5 s4 runs 14.1's is that manual or tip? my best time was 15.441. any suggestions/answers?

The throttle body boot may be leaking boost. With a chip the boost is much higher than stock and the tbb has a tendency to tear and leak. That would be my first place to look. Then I would upgrade the DV's to either the 710n's or aftermarket, depending on your budget. What year car is yours? It is pretty uncommon for a failed cat to degrade performance as much as you are describing, if it is the cat that has failed you should have a very strong sulferish smell to the car. Hope this helps.
