i think the cheapest way would be to make a manual one and just add a high torque electric motor.....(maybe i should do a diy for it haha!)
that would be way cheaper since all your using is a valve a t-pipe and a electric motor

Not to sound like a tree hugger but do you know how much a cat cuts down your car emissions?

I'd rather not pollute as much as 20 regular cars for a little extra power when at WOT.

I was just trying to ask you a question, good response though. When you do go to a straight pipe and work around the O2 sensors, you can run leaded gasoline for higher octane gas.

If it was me I would just put in a high flow cat.The small performance loss from a high flow cat vs a test pipe is worth it alone on the fact it keeps your exhaust from smelling horrible.

WaitASECOND..... you really mean to tell me that the 02 values on an '01 S4 aren't used to adjust fuel trims? Taking them out or throwing them out of spec could play havoc with the engine tune. If you're throwing flames you are waaay rich, will foul plugs and runs the risk of washing down cylinder walls, contaminating oil, etc. Unless you have an O2 simulator set that keeps you in the ballpark, or an add-on fuel trim computer or stand alone.

Brenden - Well thank you, And i was just harassing you about the honda comment. But i honestly have no idea about the leaded gasoline. I thought that motors were designed for unleaded but who the hell knows.

smtcapecod - why must you rain on my parade? hahaha and i know normally when you throw flames you are to rich on the other hand dosen't this have something to do with the turbos igniting the exhaust. because i also know you can put a spark plug at the end of your pipe and shoot flames that way. all you need is an extra coil and a switch. tadah flame throwing.

The leaded gas was kinda a joke. It is illegal to use in any street application in the US now. The exhaust smell though is a serious comment. You shouldtry to track down someone that has a car with no cat to experience this odor.
