Default catless

Hey guys ,
I just registered my vehicle in a non smog county. therefore I will never have to smog my car again. with that said, I want to run straight pipe all the way back to a single muffler. Eliminate all the cats and all the oxygen sensors. besides a CEL, is there anything else I need to worry about? Also is there a way to eliminate the CEL?

Don't expect to much over a HFC. You need to get a chip that shuts off the secondary O2's. If not the cel will keep coming back every time you reset it.

I registered it in Mariposa. all you need is a po box and your done. no more smog for life.
I am going to buy a single muffler. I'll run 2.5 " dual exhaust all the way back all for probably 300 bucks plus muffler.

When you ditch the cats you will need one of these to get rid of the CEL

http://www.vastperformance.com/products/exhaust.php

It is like the 4th thing down the page the ELE it worked wonders for me. If you have seen the vid in my sig you can clearly tell I have no cats and little else for exhaust. But I have no CEL

Like 2k said... you will; need to be chipped/tuned to get totaly rid of the CEl after removing the cats the O2 sensors with throw them selves eveyrtime you start the car and hit the gas. But yea if you runnn gutted DP's with straigh exhaust to a single muffler... Be prepared for a very heavy drone in your exhuast.. it prolyl wont be too bad until you have to take a trip on a hgiway for like 45minutes or more then youll have a nice headache. But it will sound mean as hell. the turbos will spoll ooooooo so loud and you will shoot some bodykit melting flames haha

Yea running 0 cats and no restriction in the exhuast.... youll prolly shoot a rather large flame to... maybe like 2 feet out the back on a hard 1stto2nd shift or 2nd to third
