Default cam adjuster gasket leak?

hey guys, just had an oil change at 75k on my 01 S4. They told me that there is an oil leak on the cam adjuster gaskets and then ionformed me that it will cost $1300 to fix. I have an extended warranty on the car, this should be covered by that warranty right? Also, they said it looked like the radiator hose leaked at some point but is not leaking now, and that is another 125 bucks. perhaps it is me but these things both sound like something that would be warranteed. Any input would be appreciated, i have never worked with this dealer before and am kinda nnew to audis so they could be jerking me around.

wow expensive for 2 rocker cover gaskets and minuets to fit, a no leak doesn't need fixing

lets just say that i dont have the time or tools to do this job myself, has anyone else had this happen? how much should it cost, and if it is a tiny leak, is it something that can wait a little while to be fixed?

well reading your first post something has come to mind?? "how the hell did they know the cam adjuster was leaking " all they did is change the oil??? you don't need to take the cam covers off to do an oil change ( I smell a scam )

When the cam adjusters leak they leak oil down the back of the block and the bottom of the cam covers. You can actually see it on the outside of the cam cover. They may have only done an oil change, but any good shop will do an inspection no matter what you brought your car in for. First off anything they find can be brought to the customers attention, which usually makes the customer happy that they at least noticed something they did not know. Secondly, the customer may decide to get the car repaired at the dealer which is always good for the tech.
