anyone know where i can find the specs of the OE symphony bose stereo in the b5 s4? i'm trying to find out the wattage of the system, what kind of speakers are actually in the car (i.e. RMS power of speakers, size, capabilities of speakers), power of the amp, etc. any help would be greatly appreciated or if anyone knows of a site that would tell this information. i googled it but came up short, thanks for your help.

And i need to replace it - but $300 factory installed? you gotta be kidding.

rear deck speakers are 6.5 inches...front and rear door speakers are 5.25 inches..

 

anyone know how much depth is available in the doors for replacement speakers?

i dont know what the depth is but i had my doors done with the boston acoustic components in the doors and the orien components in the rear deck......sounds really good...

 

I don't know alot, but what I do know is that with a bose system, each speaker is individually amplified. in my 01 I have noticed that the front door speakers are componets. I have also noted (after doing car audio installs at Circuit City) that with most bose systems, once you replace one part you have to replace everything unless you go back to bose which is very expensive.

It's attached to the speakers. that's why they suck so bad because each speaker is individually amplified. and by suck so bad, i mean when yuou have to replace them.
