Honestly your best option is to just drill holes in the bottom of the air box. Dont use a k&n either, they will **** up your MAS. There it is, short and simple. Other then that there is the racer-x i believe it is and then a few people have made a cone filter work with a big heat sheild. Although nothing has really proven better then just drilling holes in the bottom of the intake.

the diverter valves are a closed loop system. that means that they release excess pressure back into the intake, not into the outside air (or your mother). basically you wont ever really hear them over the normal engine noise. BOV's do not run well on the S4.
secondly, if you have an 01.5 MY, then the K&N will not affect your MAF since its Hitachi that year. The early models were Bosch, and those don't like oil, but the 01.5 will be just fine!

Blueballs- I have an 01.. i believe it has a K&N.. came with the car.. should I take it out and darintake that bitch?
Going stage 3 soon and I think that the custom fueling works with the stock airbox.. i'll have to check on that.

Do the Darintake mod. I have it...just drill out holes in the lowest part of airbox...you still need to have a filter in, and you really cant get better flow than a K&N..

no, but i can promise you they do not work as well as the forge 007. since its not releasing all the air back into intake, only part, it will make the turbos have to work harder to keep up, and cause a slight drop in effiency. of course if you build your vehicle correctly, im sure itd be fine

Ya its the same as the SSQV and alot of other hybrid valves, they will most likely work fine, but a full recirc is BETTER.
Come on your turbos work hard for that boost dont dump it to the atmosphere just to make a cool noise
