This is pretty random but I just wanted to know....Has anyone out there with a B5 S4 run with an E90 330i ??? I raced my friend today and he got me by half a car length, three consecutive times[:@]. I have a tip 2001 with ASP DP's and tru dual exhaust...also apr runnin 91 oct program. I know that he should get a good jump on me being that he is a stick. I had one run where I beat him by like a foot or two because I power breaked which allowed me to get a nice little hop in 1st. I know that in time I will get quicker and quicker with using the tip. I just got my exhaust and dps a few weeks ago and have kinda been babying it through the bake period. Do powergains increase in time the more the new exhaust and dps break in?? I haaaate how the tip shifts at like effing 3400 in first in tip mode if you dont powerbreak it. Im soo used to hoppin in my 330ci since its manual. But I was really really suprised with how quick his car is. I was with him in his car the other day and he absolutely demolished a b6 s4 by what seemed atleast 2 car lengths. I know how heavy and sluggish those b6s can be soo that really didnt suprise me all that much....but just wanted some feedback from my fellow b5ers.....Also has anyone seen a Tech article on AW for DIY on lubing DVs...I have dahlback DVs and I know theyre overdue for lube......I have been looking forever and believe me Ive checked AW but cant seem to find info.....thanx fellas

 

What mods does your buddy with the 330 have?

 

reason i ask is ive run with a friends 330 a few times in my tip B6 S4 (stock ) and ive never had any trouble beating him everytime

 

i cant say id be too worried about a 330i myself... but thats just me [8D]

 

I hate to steal the thread but get to a vag and have your trans coded "00022". This removes the Ghey 1 - 2 shift. It lets you hold 1st as long as you want. You will like it much better.

 

I guess this is a B5 thing?? Because in my B7 I can go to redline in every gear, including 1st and 2nd...

 

My b5 s4 goes to redline in every gear and its a tip and its stock. Dont know what is up with yours.

 

u should have beaten him... Unless he is heavily modded, you should be able to take a stock m3 with that setup (either an even or ud be faster)

 

I've run a few...very nice cars and much quicker than I thought...I caught some late night action with some eurotrash...i was minding my business until he took off at a light...at the next light I made him poop his diaper...again, its a quick ride, but you shouldn't break a sweat stompin'em.

 

You should be able to kick his *** easily, u mite have a problem: MAF, N75
The S4 has so much more torque than a 330i not to mention AWD!
