look on the audi diy site? look up at the 2nd forum from the top. go in there and there is a diy audi thread. I sort of changed mine out with a friends help. but I suck at explaining things lol

Yea I checked it. Theres a CV Boot DIY, but it skips over the removing of the axle and just gets right into the Boot. Was it hard? I have a fellow modder willing to help, he has a Civic SI tho.

RE: Any Axle Install DIYs?
I can try to help. the kid did most of the unbolting with his airtools. jacked it up. took the wheel off then the axle bolt. that could be a pain since it's torqued so much. then get under the car and take out the hex bolts ( I think hex bolts? look at the new one to get the right socket)
then take it out from the other side. removed the axle, you might have to turn the steering wheel. grease up the new boot ( pita!) and bolt it back in. I am pretty sure that's what needs to be done. it will take about 30-45 minutes to get it done.
it's easier than it sounds to replace an axle. did your axle come pre greased?

Yea pre-greased with both inner and outer boots already clamped on, clean and ready to go. Even came with a pack of extra grease. I'm going to need an alignment after this too, correct?
