I was looking at the apr stage kit which clamins 447 on 93. Just wanted to get some opinions. i wont be building the car for another year until i get back from afganistan so i thought id do my research now. thanks for time and help

Fist off you need to have a budget for this. One you get 500whp, it gets real expensive! You need to also build up the trans, or it will fail.
You are past what K04's can do, so you are looking at RS6 turbo's, or GT turbo's. ASP makes a GT kit with both 28's & 30's, the price is $12k & $15k, with out install. Then plan on another $8k to build up the block & heads, then another $6k to build up the trans, then another $2k for the clutch & FW.

A guy at work makes a little over 400hp on 91 octane, and 600hp on racegas. He is using a K04 hybrid, I think he calls it RS6-K04's. He has stock down pipes and a full exhaust. Bigger MAF housing and injectors. Wicked Motorsports in Van Nuys tunes it for him. He has a stock shortblock. He ordered everything separately instead of buying a "kit". Keep your head down over there and save your money, you don't need a built motor for 500hp.

My shop is telling me I can get 500+hp with the addition of a water/methenol injection kit and a custom tune (already have K04s etc) - allowing me to run the race gas program on 93 Oct. I know of someone doing similar already (don't know the hp). Sounds almost too good to be true - but I am very seriously considering the upgrade for the upcomming Spring.

Call Wicked, & ask them, what you need for a reliable 500whp car. They will tell you it takes beefed up internals & a beffy trans.
