4.2 vs 2.7t tuning
Has anyone tuned a B6 to the hp numbers of a stage 3 B5? If so,........
1) what was done (exhaust, chip, etc)
2) any confirmed dyno numbers
3) how was driveability once completed OTHER than crappy gas mileage [:@]
I'm on the bubble between the two generations for a variety of reason but wanted a bit of input from owners who have done some modifications.

Vast performance has a video of a modded b6 vs an A6 with 425hp v8/6 speed. I think the s4 made 385hp with intake, full exhaust and dyno tune...im pretty sure it was 385 crank.
I think a stage 3 B5 s4 would put a whoppin to a B6 S4 while getting better gas mileage. Might be some turbo lag and that v8 sounds FANTASTIC.
Do you want throttle response and sweet sound
or
gas mileage and more headroom for horsepower?

If you're looking to put down less money up front, but more in the end for upgrades get a B5. The B5 will also give you a lot more power than a B6 would. Only thing you can really do with getting into some pretty advanced stuff on the B6 is ECU, intake, and exhaust. You can do a lot more modding and upgrades with the B5 than the B6 because it is a biturbo. Without some type of forced induction you cant mod a car too much.
The B5 will not disappoint you with its power. If you want more, just upgrade something and you'll have more. The B6 will limit you to a certain threshold.

I am the guy with the 400+ A6 you can see my car race in my sig.
My car is a clone of the VAST performance car that makes well over 450hp and I have seen him beat a stage 2+ S4
As for the B6 S4 there are several things in the works for you guys. I would just Waite as for the A6 guys with the 4.2 or the S8 4.2 we can only hope that Vast performance will make the supercharger I have asked them to make for me
The car in the Video is the best there was out for the B6 S4 at the time. The car is my friends and he had every option he could have put on at AWE. We made the most Hp at some B6 S4 shoot out he came out to vast to see if they could squeeze out some more power for him after they found a few more ponies we decided to race.
