Im looking to buy either one of these. I have to make quite a trip to test drive them both so before i go i want to hear what you guys have to say. Obviously the S6 has more power but is it really worth it? what the advantages/disadvantages between the two? does the a6 have better handling than the s6 because it has a smaller engine? does one under steer more than the other? Let me know. thanks

P.S. is there a new dynamic handling package for either of these like the new s4 has?

 

i know this doesn't answer your main questions, but if it was me i would go s6, because there are fewer of them made than with the a cars

 

I second that krauts opinion The s6 will probably out handle the newer a6 because its an s. If its not tight enough sway bars from hotchkiss will make it happen. I also think the s6 is a seriously baller ride (even if I like the 3.0 supercharged more) and will also carry its value because of the rarity.

In the end just pick what makes you smile when you thump the pedal. Maybe you should even try out a b5 s4. The money you will save can be put to repairs and making it go fast... well faster.

 

i would even consider a a6 2.7t or an s8

I used to have a 2.8 a4 and really wanted to get an s4. But when push came to shove the a4 I was selling was too small and I figured the s4 would be as well. A6 2.7 it was... I think it looks better too.
