I'm thinking about getting a 2005-2006 audi s4 sedan automatic trans and i am having second thoughts due to fuel economy i see online and the small gas tank. i dont mind filling up but not if its only like 250 miles on a tank. what is the tank size for sedan, online half the time i see 16.6 and the other half 17.4?

I was wondering if people who own an s4 could help me out with this. i do understand its a big v8 with lots of power and am willing somewhat to sacrifice some mileage for power. How many miles do you guys typically get on a full tank? what kind of gas mileage are you getting? im sure its different than what its actually rated at.

In general how is the car in terms of needing maintenance and repairs?

 

My MPG is around 17 on average. That's a mix of city and hwy. When I take it easy a tank will go 270 miles, but more often it's around 250.

In terms of repairs, my car has been very reliable until recently when the power relay went out. Other than that I haven't had any issues outside of little stuff like the seat memory and window switch.

In general, it's a fantastic car - I love mine!

 

2004 S4 - I've gotten over 300 miles on a tank before, but it's usually right around 250. Don't buy a V8 Audi for fuel economy - about the only thing they are not designed to pass is a gas station.
